Cortlyn is an Texan Illustrator with a focus with both digital and traditional mediums. She is Photoshop certified and has been working in the arts for the past decade. She has been awarded with winning 1st Place in the Sand Sculpture category at SCAD Sand Arts Festival 2024 and 1st Place in the Large Group category in 2025. She also had her work showcased at the Pei Ling Chan Gallery at SCAD in 2025. She was also in SCAD's Foundation Honors show 2024 and well as 2 Best Category metals in the Metroplex Art of Christian Schools Festival, Mutiple Scholastic Art Awards and Celebrating Art contest awards and the 2020 "Most Creative" Award at the Congressional Art Competition. She has worked with clients like "Leddy's" boot makers in Fort Worth Texas, "Castle Pines Golf Club" in Castle Rock Colorado, "Kemo Sabe" in Vail Colorado, and created an ad for "US Energy" for The BMW Championship.

At the moment she is the President of the SCAD Illustration Society, getting awarded with the "Buzz" award by SCAD in 2025 for Marketing and Promotion.

Cortlyn Plunk creates visual representations of what makes the comfort of southern living, “home”; but at the end of day she make “art for art’s sake.”
